Senators represent different colleges and interest areas throughout campus and advocate for the concerns of their constituents in the Senate while pursuing projects throughout the year. Each year, seats that remain unfilled are eligible for appointment. All students who meet the defined qualifications of the Senate seat for which they are seeking office may apply for a vacant seat. Please review the elections code to determine eligibility for the seat you are interested in. We currently have vacancies for the following roles:
College Senator for College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences
College Senator for College of Veterinary Medicine
College Senator for Mary Frances Early College of Education
College Senator for School of Forestry and Natural Resources
College Senator for School of Law
College Senator for School of Public and International Affairs
College Senator for School of Social Work
Students interested in this position will serve as the official representative for their college, while also working in the interest of all undergraduate students. College Senators are responsible for all weekly Senate meetings, meeting with their college administration, and working on legislation that will bring light to the needs of the campus community.
